Talpagiri Ranganathaswami Temple




Talpagiri Ranganathaswami Temple is located at Nellore on the south bank of the Penneru River. The entrance to the temple has a 29 m tall Galigopuram with seven gold kalasams. The most outstanding feature of the temple is the Addalapatnam (mirror parlor). The mirrors are arranged at various angles with a raised and decorated seat for the Lord in the center. The ceiling of the mandapam is decorated by the beautiful painting of Lord Krishna. Talpagiri Ranganathaswami is also known as Ranganayakulu, Mulaathanesvaraswami, Venugopalswami and Dharmaraja.

Chennai is about 173 km from Nellore. Nellore Railway Station is on the Chennai- Howrah line.
