Sri Meenakshi Agasteswara Swamy Temple




Sri Meenakshi Agasteswara Swamy Temple is situated at Wadapally in Nalgonda District of Andhra Pradesh. It was built by the Kakatiya rulers during the 12th century.

The noteworthy feature of the temple is that there is a narrow opening on top of the Shivling, which lies 120 m above the water level in the river. The Shivling is always full of water, even if some the water is removed the original level of the water is maintained.

The convenient railway station is at Miryalaguda, 25 km away. Regular bus services are available from Miryalaguda to Wadapally.
