Soan




Located 12 km from the town of Nirmal, Soan is a small village lying on the banks of the Godavari River in Adilabad District of Andhra Pradesh. The village got its name from a fort in the vicinity called Soangadh, which is now in a dilapidated stage. Here lies the famous Pushkar Ghat, which is worth visiting. Nearby the ghat lies a magnificent temple called Venkateshwara Swamy Temple, devoted to Lord Vishnu.

Regular buses ply between Nirmal and Soan. The nearest railway station is Dichpalli Railway Station (44 km). Accommodation facilities are available at Nirmal and Adilabad.
