Ramalingeshwara Temple




Ramalingeshwara Temple is located at Nandi Kandi in Medak District. The 11th century star shaped temple, specifies the high level of artistic and craftsmanship of the Chalukya period.

The temple has four elegantly sculptured pillars in the center of the hall (Navaranga) with the figures of Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Narasimha, Varaha, Nataraja, Devi Mahishasura Mardini, Devi Saraswati and Gaja Lakshmi in various forms. The sculptures portraying dikpalakas, apsaras, rakshasas, matrumurti and darpan Warriors are also seen.
