Punyagiri

Punyagiri in Vizianagaram District is 15 km from Cuddapah, on the banks of the Pennar River. Uma Koti Lingeswara Swamy Temple, one of the oldest Shiva temples of Andhra Pradesh, is situated here.

The Shivlinga in the sanctum is always bathed by an underground water source. Other three lingas installed in the nearby Trimurthi cave are also showered constantly. Shivratri is a major celebration here and attracts a large number of devotees. It is said that one can attain Moksha by taking bath in the waterfalls nearby and having the darshan of Lord Shiva.

Punyagiri is about 25 km from Vizianagaram town.
