Pochampad Dam, the main reservoir to meet the power generation Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Station, is located on Hyderabad-Nizamsagar road. The dam and nearby areas attract many visitors.
Located in Nizamabad District, the total storage capacity of the dam is 3172000 tmc and the catchment area is 91751 sq km. A hydroelectric power station with an installed capacity of 27 mw is also attached with the dam.
