Narasapur




Narasapur is located in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. It is famous for the lace crochet industry that was started some 150 years ago by a Swedish couple. It is much prized in the international markets. Narasapur is around 60 km north of Rajahmundry. Bhimavaram town is northwest of Narasapur.

Lakshmi Narayana Temple is located 3 km from Narasapur at Antarvedi and the Adikesava Embermanar Swamy Temple a sacred pilgrimage destination for the Vaishnavites is also located here. The people of Narasapur have expertise in making dining sets, handkerchiefs, pillow covers, curtains, tablecloth, bed sheets, gowns and frocks.

Narasapur Railway Station is the terminating point of Vijayawada- Gudivada-Narasapur rail line.
