Nandikonda village is situated on the banks of
Krishna River in
Nalgonda District. It is about 65 km from Miryalaguda. The Ikshvaku citadel is the major attraction of Nandikonda.
Ikshvaku citadel is noted for its fortification wall, ditch, gates and army barracks and a great rectangular stadium. The village also has the ruins of Buddhist monasteries and halls.
