Manthani, known as Manthrakuta in the
Puranas, is situated on the right bank of the
Godavari River. Manthani is regarded as a center of Vedic learning. The place is home to several temples and the significant ones are the temples of Lord Saileshwara, Laxminarayana Swami, Omkeshwara Swami and
Mahalakshmi.
Manthani is located in the
Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh and is about 226 km northwest of Hyderabad.
