Dharmapuri




Dharmapuri is one of the oldest villages in Karimnagar District of the Telengana region. It lies on the banks of the sacred river Godavari. Dharmapuri is the site of the Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, besides several other temples and idols of the Hindu mythology.

Important temples situated here include the Yoga Narasimha Temple, Nootana Narasimhaswamy Temple and Ramalingeswara temple. Dharmapuri also has small Shiva temples called 'Shiva Panchayatanas'.

65 km from the district headquarters, Dharmapuri is about 220 km from Hyderabad. The nearest railway station is Mancherial, 40 km from Dharmapuri.
