Mahendra Hills, about 90 km from
Srikakulam town, is regarded as the highest peak in the
Eastern Ghats. This scenic hill is an excellent spot for bird watching. It is believed that
the Pandavas during their exile stayed here. A temple dedicated to
Lord Shiva is set in pristine natural surroundings on the Mahendra Hills. The rock formations and Buddhist meditation center here are the other attractions.
Visakhapatnam, 106 km from Srikakulam, is a major city nearby.
