Lepakshi




Lepakshi, famous for the Lord Veerabhadra Temple, is located in Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh. It is about 15 km east of Hindupur.

The Lepakshi temples are one of the most popular temples in the state and were built during the Vijayanagar period. The temple stands on a low rocky hill, which is called Kurmasaila.

Hindupur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
