Narasaraopet is located in Guntur District and is 40 km southwest of
Guntur Town. Narasaraopet is one of the biggest parliamentary constituencies in India and is also known as the gateway of '
Palnadu'. The
Kotappakonda Shiva temple is about 12 km from Narasaraopet. The town is also renowned for Mahashivarathri Festival and the cultural shows performed during the festival.
Narasaraopet Railway Station is on the Guntur-
Kurnool line.
