Idli




Idli is a cholesterol free South Indian dish. It is traditionally made from shelled lentils (urad dal) and rice. Nowadays rice is replaced by ‘sooji’. It is cooked in special idli plates and steaming vessels. Sambar or chutney is accompanied with the dish when served.
