Hussain Sagar Lake

Hussain Sagar is an artificial lake, which separates Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Built in the 16th century, this lake sustains water perennially. At the entrance, one can see a magnificent white arch. A Tank Bund is constructed on the banks of the lake. In the middle of the lake, on the Rock of Gibraltar, stands the monolithic statue of Buddha.

Hussain Sagar turns out to be the annual venue for sailing events and regattas. Some yachting and sailing clubs are found at the lake. Besides, several parks and scenic spots are also seen on either side of the lake.
