Health Museum




Founded in 1948, the Health Museum is situated near the Public Gardens in Hyderabad. The museum is divided into two huge halls. One hall depicts various aspects related to nutrition, health (school and industrial) and diseases such as cancer, malaria, TB and leprosy, anatomy and immunization. The second hall is set aside exclusively for motherhood and childbirth. The exhibits include models, charts, diagrams and plastic models of various human organs. There is a library which conducts lectures and film shows.

Films are shown on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The museum is open between 1100-1300 hrs and 1400-1800 hrs in summers and 1000-1300 hrs and 1400- 1700 hrs in winters. It is closed on Fridays and public holidays. Admission is free.
