Hospet




Hospet, situated about 325 km from Bangalore, is a dusty town in northern Karnataka. Hospet is a transit point on the way to Hampi.

Tungabhadra Dam, which lies 6 km from Hospet, is a major picnic spot with a Japanese style garden. The fort at Chitradurga, on the highway linking Bangalore to Hospet, is another tourist spot.

Hospet Junction Railway Station is a major railhead of the district and is connected to Bellary, Gadag and Koppal. National Highway 63 passes through Hospet.
