Janmabhoomi Express




Janmabhoomi Express was introduced in the year 2000. At first, it was run between Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. Later it was extended up to Tenali. Today the train runs between Visakhapatnam Junction Railway Station and Tenali Junction Railway Station. Both stations are located in Andhra Pradesh. (The Indian word ‘janmabhoomi’ means ‘birthplace.’) It touches the towns of Anakapalli, Tuni, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru and Vijayawada. Janmabhoomi Express operates daily and covers a distance of 383 km. A/C chair car and second seating coaches are available.

Train number 2805: Visakhapatnam to Tenali, leaves Visakhapatnam at 6:05 hrs.
Train number 2806: Tenali to Visakhapatnam, leaves Tenali at 13:05 hrs.
