Shiva Temple Suruttappalli is a highly revered Shiva shrine, located in Suruttappalli Village of Chittor District.

The most noteworthy feature of the temple is that Lord Shiva is enshrined here in the human form and that too in the reclining pose like Lord Vishnu’s Ananthasayana. The granite sculpture of Lord Shiva is seen relaxing with his head on the lap of Goddess Parvati. The reining Goddess is known as Maduravalli.

Pradosha, celebrated here every month, is a major event that attracts a large number of devotees from far and near.

The temple is believed to have built during the reign of Bukraya of the Vijayanagar period.
