Asifabad




One of the major centers of coal and limestone in Andhra Pradesh, Asifabad is a famous town that lies in the Adilabad Lok Sabha constituency, Adilabad District. Tribal groups and scheduled castes comprise most of the population here. According to historians, Asifabad was under the reign of the Gondu Kings during the ancient period.
