Agastyaswamy Temple is 12 km from Tirupati
in Chittoor District
. It lies at the confluence of the Swarnamukhi
, Bhima and Kalyan rivers. Three beautifully sculptured entrances enhance the beauty of the temple.
The temple has a separate shrine for Goddess Parvati. A mandapam is situated in the middle of the river, facing the temple. It has the deities of Balaji, Ayyappa and Ganapathi (Ganesh). Besides, a small temple dedicated to Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Anjaneya (Lord Hanuman) is located near the tank.
