Yellow Pansy Butterfly




Yellow Pansy (Precis hierta) is a common territorial butterfly seen in open scrub jungles and un-cultivated agricultural land. It often visits sunniest patches and streambeds. The male butterfly usually quarrels with other males. It is fond of flowers of Aztec marigold, lantana, lindley butterfly bush and bachelor's button. Yellow Pansy Butterfly is found in Kerala and other South Indian states.
