Yellow Dock is an erect herbaceous plant found in roadsides, railroads, waste ground and in fields as a weed.
A member of the Polygonaceae family, it contains oxalic acid and is irritating to some people. The root has parasiticidal and antiseptic properties. Yellow dock is used to cure many ailments such as fever, scurvy, tumors and cancer.
