Yana Caves




Yana Caves are located in a picturesque locale amidst evergreen forest of the Sahyadri Mountains, about 25 km from Kumta and 40 km from Sirsi, in Karnataka. Yana is a limestone rock dome paradise, known for its rock formations. It is a favourite haunt among rock climbers.

The area boasts several hillocks, glittering waterfalls and a holy temple. Bhariraveswara Shikhara is the tallest peak (120 m) and Mohini Shikhara is 90 meters from its base. The huge rocks are solid composition of black, crystalline limestone.

Camping facilities are also available here.
