Yama Vahana

Yama is the god of justice and death in Hindu mythology. He is portrayed as a fierce looking man riding on a black colored water buffalo, which is his vahana (vehicle). This buffalo along with being the mount also serves as the draught animal for the lord. On some occasions the lord himself takes the form of his vahana.
