Wild Indigo (Tephrosia purpurea) is a polymorphic, perennial herb widely found in the forests in the Himalayas. It has glabrous, imparipinnate leaves and re-curved pods. Rotenone, which shows insecticidal and insect-repellent properties, is isolated from Wild Indigo.
