Wild Gram (Phaseolus trilobatus) is a sub-erect annual herb that is seen throughout India. This Leguminosae family plant is considered to be cooling, aphrodisiac, astringent, styptic and anthelmintic.

Wild Gram is useful in constipation, inflammations, fever, burning sensation, thirst, eye-diseases, piles, dysentery, cough, gout and biliousness. It is also an accepted animal food. The ripe fruit can be eaten fresh.
