Water Pipit (Anthus spinoletta) is a large (17 cm) and stocky pipit.
It is grayish-brown above and pale below with streaks on its breast. There are pale stripe over its eye. It has dark legs, white outer tail feathers and a longish dark bill.
During summer, the species has a distinctive breeding plumage, with a pinkish breast, gray head and pale supercilium. The bird feeds on insects and larvae.
The bird can be spotted in Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Rajasthan.
