Walayar River is in Palakkad District of Kerala. The famous Walayar Dam is constructed across this river. The Walayar Reservoir is formed by connecting the dams on either side of the river. The river is surrounded by thick forests. The Malabar Cements Corporate Office and factory is near the Walayar River.
