Vyakarana Vedanga is a Vedanga or the ‘anga (limb)’ of the
Vedas. It deals with the grammar of
Sanskrit. It is necessary for mastering the Vedas and the rites of yajna. The term Vyakarana literally means ‘separation, analysis or explication’. Ashtadhyayi is a classical Sanskrit Vyakarana text composed by
Panini. Vyakarana Vedanga along with Nirukta Vedanga teaches how to understand the subtle meaning of the Vedas.
