Vishwanath Temple




Vishvanath Temple is located at Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh. This temple is believed to have been built in 1002 AD. The presiding deity is Lord Shiva. The temple also contains the idol of Nandi.

Vishvanath Temple is similar to Kandariya Mahadeva Temple in design. There are steps that lead to high terrace, sculptures of lions on the northern side and elephant of southern side.
