Viralmindaar Nayanar

Viralmindaar Nayanar was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. For him one should consider both Shiva Bhaktas(meaning devotee) and Lord Shiva equally. No one will get Lord's grace without serving his devotees. He explained the same to Sundarar-Moorthi Nayanar another devotee of Lord Shiva who insulted the bhatktas before entering the Sanctum in the temple. It is said that Lord himself conveyed the message to Shiva Bhaktas in the words of Viralmindaar Nayanar to guide them through right path.
