Vijaypur

Vijaypur is a town located in Jammu District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the 13 assembly constituencies of the district. It is about 21 km from Kagwal and 17 km from Kunjwani.

Vijaypur has Samba in the east, Bari Bahmanan in the north-west, Nawanshahr in the west and Suruin in the north.

Vijaypur can be approached easily by road on the Jammu - Pathankot (80 km) highway (National Highway 1A). The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi Railway Station served by the Northern Railways. The nearest airport is Jammu Airport, 8 km from Jammu.
