Victory Fort is situated atop the Namgyal Hill, adjacent to the
Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, in
Leh District of
Jammu and Kashmir. The fort was built to commemorate
Ladakh’s victory over the Balti-Kashmir armies in the 16th century.
The magnificent view of the valley from the fort is awe-inspiring.
