Vayu Vahana

In Hindu mythology, each god is associated with a vahana (vehicle). Lord Vayu, the lord of wind, is often portrayed as mounted on an antelope. While riding on the animal the lord is shown holding a flag.

The antelope, known for its swiftness and gracefulness, complements the lord very well. In Indian astrology this animal is used for representing the lord. On some occasions, Lord Vayu is shown riding on a bright chariot pulled by numerous horses.
