Vasai




Vasai, formerly known as Bassein, is a popular tourist spot in Maharashtra. The place was named Baçaim by the Portuguese. It is famous for temples and pilgrim spots. The town is located at a distance of 50 km from Mumbai city and 20 km from Borivali. Vasai taluk is known as the 'Land of Lord Parshurama'.

Food products are available in plenty and the place is self-sufficient. The residential and industrial premises are easily available at an affordable price.

Vasai (Bassein) Fort, Aagashi Jain Mandir, Arnala Fort built by Shivaji , Chinchoti Waterfalls, and Holy Church are worth visiting. Other places of interest include Virar, Jiwadani, Nirmal, Tungareshwar, and Vajreshwari. The best time to visit is October to March.
