Vangipuram is 21 km south-west of
Guntur and 7 km east of the Guntur-Parchur road. Originally called as Achichchatrapuram, the village is renowned for the temples of Agastheswaraswami and Vallabharajaswami.
The nearest airport is at Vijayawada and nearby railhead is Guntur Railway Station.
