Vanchinathar Temple is located on the southern bank of the
Cauvery river at Srivanchiyam in
Nagapattinam District. Srivanchiyam is 4 km from
Nannilam. This temple is dedicated to Sri Vanchinathar (
Lord Shiva), a Swayambu Lingam. The temple houses separate shrines for Goddess Managalambika, Ashta Bhuja Durga and Yama. The main festival is celebrated on the day of Maasi magham.
