Vadamvali, tug of warm, is one of the main events associated with
Onam in
Kerala. Two groups of people stand on both sides of the ground holding a rope. Each side starts to pull the rope towards their side. The group which is able to pull the rope and the group over the central line wins. Sometimes elephants are pitted against humans in Vadamvali.
