Upper Wardha Dam

Constructed across the Wardha River, Upper Wardha is an earthen dam on the boundary of Amaravati and Wardha districts. It is situated at Simbhora, about 8 km east of Morshi and 56 km from Amaravati.

Upper Wardha Dam controls the water level in the dam reservoir and prevents the river flooding the districts of Amaravati and Wardha. The adjoining areas of dam are picturesque and are home to several rare species of birds.

Buses ply between Morshi to Arvi via Simbhora.
