Unapdev

Unapdev is a religious place in Chopda taluk of Jalgaon District. It is located in the foothills of Satpuda hills range and is 10 km north of Adavad.

Unapdev has been derived from the word Uchnap meaning hot water. Formerly known as Unapdeo, Unapdev is believed to have been the dwelling place of Sage Sharbhang. According to legends, Lord Ram visited here after killing Ravana.

The key attraction of the place is hot water spring which never dries and remains hot even in cold season. A major draw is a grand fair held here during Paush (December-January).

The surrounding places include Wirvada in the north-west, Devnal in the north-east and Chahardi in the south-west. Amalner Railway Station and Aurangabad Airport serve Unapdev.
