Located 115 km from
Haflong, Umrangsu is a small town in
Assam. It boasts the biggest hydel plant, set up by the North East Electric Power Corporation, along with the dams across Kopili River (tributary of
Brahmaputra). A hot water spring named Garampani is worth-seeing. It is believed that the water has medicinal value.
Panimoor and Maibong are nearby attractions. Lumding Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
