Umaraa




Umaraa is a sacred place in Mathura District and is 10 km south-west of Nandgaon. The place is associated with Lord Krishna and Radha. The literal meaning of the word umaraa is ‘monarch.’

Legend has it that Lord Krishna used to play at Umaraa along with his hundreds of friends. A small river, Kishore Kunda, flows nearby.
