Umamaheswaram

Umamaheswaram in Mahabubnagar District is 150 km from Hyderabad . It is famed for Umamaheswaram Temple, which dates back to 2nd century. The presiding deities are Mallikarjuna (Shiva ) and Bhramaramba (Parvati ). The temple is stuck in deep Nallamalai forests, in the midst of scenic mountains. It is familiar as north entrance to Srisailam . The nearby airport and railhead are at Hyderabad.
