Tusu Festival




Tusu festival, also known as harvest festival, falls during the winter. It is primarily celebrated by unmarried girls of Jharkhand, West Bengal and other eastern and north-eastern states. It is dedicated to Goddess Tusu.

This festival has no historical background, but some rituals are observed on this occasion. This festival is noted for its colorful songs, which depict the stories and the experiences of livelihood.
