Toran

Toran is a traditional door hanging of India. It is a symbol of happiness and prosperity, hung over the door to welcome the guest. It is made from a cloth measuring 4 feet in length and 18 inch in width. The embroidered designs usually portray trees, birds and geometrical patterns. Some Torans also use glass for adornment.
