Tooth Brush Tree (Salvadora persica) is an evergreen drought-tolerant tree. It grows well on coastal sand duns, marginal to high saline wastelands with or without water logging, ravines, and saline or alkaline dry zones. The bark and leaf are used as stimulant. The plant is a valuable medicine for rheumatism. The maximum life span is up to 100 years.
