Tirumaghizheesar Temple

Situated in the banks of river Bhavani at Perundalaiyur is a small shrine named Tirumaghizheesar Temple. The deity of the temple, Lord Shiva, is in the form of Shivlinga known as Tirumagizheesar or Tirumaghizhavanamudaya Nayanar, seen along with his consort Brihannayaki (Perundevi). The temple can be accessed by means of a damaged bridge from the town of Perundalaiyur.
