Tirukkadaiyur Minor Port in
Nagapattinam District is a sea customs port for unloading of imported goods and loading of export goods. It is about 5 km north of
Tranquebar.
The port is a private sector port with on-shore and offshore infrastructural facilities. Single Point Mooring (SPM), with a 500m-radius safety zone surrounding it, is an important feature of the port. It is connected to the shore 2 km west by a submarine pipeline.
