Thripakkudam Mahadeva Temple

Located in Kanjiramattam of Ernakulam District, Thripakkudam Mahadev Temple is situated 25 km from Ernakulam. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. An eight day festival is celebrated here annually. Art forms such as Kathakali, Chakyarkoothu and Ottanthullal are organized on this occasion. On the seventh day of the festival, the image of the deity is carried by a caparisoned elephant accompanied by a grand procession. This festival ends with the Aarattu.
